Egis is providing ongoing support to the Samoa Airport Authority (SAA) for the procurement of advanced navigational aid (NAVAID) equipment at Faleolo International Airport, Samoa. This milestone follows the successful completion of the design phase and the release of comprehensive tender documentation in December 2025.
In January 2026, Egis’ aviation team, alongside our partner PPG Consultants, visited Faleolo International Airport for a pre-bid meeting and an on-site inspection of the existing infrastructure with prospective bidders.
During the visit, discussions were conducted with the Ministry of Works, Transport and Infrastructure's Civil Aviation Division (MWTI CAD) about synergising project implementation with the latest updates in aviation regulations and documentations.
Funded by the World Bank, the Egis team is dedicated to ensuring the project’s compliance with stringent Environmental and Social Safeguards, aligning with our core values of sustainability and community stewardship. Ongoing discussions with the Planning and Urban Management Agency (PUMA) have further reinforced our shared vision of minimising potential environmental impacts around the airport and streamlining the approval process ahead of civil works.
As we advance in this project, Egis remains committed to collaborating closely with partners and stakeholders to enhance air travel safety and resilience for the future of Samoa and the Asia Pacific region.
