The World Trade Center is part of the iconic skyline of Doha, located right at the Corniche. The building represents modern design, featuring the imbedded terrace on the upper floors and eye catching lobby entrance. It is 241 m high and has 51 floors above ground with class A office space. There are 26 lifts and 18 escalators easing the movement within the building. 1,169 parking spaces are provided in 4 levels underground car park.

Scope of works:

Projacs provided the services during pre-construction and redesign phase, followed by the construction and Post Construction phase:

  • Review and maintain the Project’s redesign Schedule
  • Assist technically to review the designs
  • Participate in the Value Engineering workshops as needed to provide recommendations and review the VE reports and ideas as presented by the Contractor/Design Consultant (s) in order to maximize the design efficiency, recommend the actions and approvals to the Employer.
  • Monitor items affecting the project predicted costs during the redesign process and recommend the actions to the Employer.
  • Monitor detailed input and status for the redesign and conduct regular progress meetings
  • Review the list of long lead procurements and submit recommendations
  • Participate in redesign coordination meetings
  • Review and evaluate the interim and final redesign submittals
  • Review and check the interim payment applications
  • Review the Estimated Contract Price submission
  • Participate and assist in the Cost review workshops to negotiate and recommend appropriate actions
  • Maintain, review and update the Master Construction Program to evaluate and report any possible delays
  • Review and discuss the Construction Program
  • Review and evaluate the monthly progress report
  • Review QA/QC procedures to advise any rectifications as required to match the project’s specific requirements and recommend any corrective actions
  • Compile, maintain a full set of construction documents
  • Review and agree the form of payment application and advise and changes as appropriate
  • Develop a construction plan for accomplishing the objectives of the Client
  • Track and monitor the project submittals to ensure smooth operation.
  • Review the Contractor’s application for payment after approval and assess and review the percentage of work done vs. actual work done at site.
  • Review and recommend Field Orders and Change Orders
