The A. M. Qattan Foundation (AMQF) is an independent, not-for-profit organization registered in UK as a charity and having the registered branch in Palestine. Its focus is on development of culture and education.

The Foundation decided to build their headquarters, to serve as an operational centre and also cultural and activities hub. The building has been designed and executed to obtain a certification from Palestinian Higher Green Building Council, as a first one in Palestine.

The building consists of five levels above the ground with a total area 7,700 sqm and three levels under the ground level.

In addition, the new building provides a number of public facilities including:

  • Two‐story library which offers books, periodicals, films, databases as well as reading, study, and group‐work spaces
  • Multipurpose Hall, a flexible space that can host up to 200 people and be divided into three halls, with soundproof partitions
  • Gallery
  • Small cinema/theatre with a capacity of up to 128 people
  • Visual arts studio
  • Performing arts studio
  • Educational resource development studio
  • Model classroom
  • Gardens and outdoor recreational spaces
  • Terraces
  • Restaurant/café, located on the ground floor with access to the main terrace
