Mastering and Implementing BOT Contracts

Date: 18 September 2017 - 22 September 2017
Course ID: ADDQ029/2017
Duration: 5 Days
Fee US $: 3950 US$
Venue: Istanbul / Turkey

Introduction:

There is a growing need for Build, operate and Transfer (BOT) project delivery methods, which combine a design-build obligation with a long-term operation commitment, combined – sometimes - with financing the project for a defined period. Whilst it is recognized that there are alternative scenarios encompassing the Build-Operate and Transfer (BOT) concepts – for example the "green field" scenario of Design- Build-Operate, and the "brown field" scenario of Operate-Design-Build – it was also recognized that different scenarios required different contract conditions. Moreover, the conditions applicable to short-term operation differed considerably to those applicable to long-term operation. A further consideration was whether it was best to approach a BOT project as a single long-term contract or as two separate or linked contracts.

This course will guide you through the different variations of the BOT and will cover the tools and techniques required to manage the process of preparing, drafting, awarding and managing the BOT contracts.
